Bio:
Professor Élide Valarini Oliver specializes in Brazilian Literature and Culture, Comparative Literature,Theory and Practice of Translation, Literary Theory and Criticism (especially Satire and Travel Literature). She is the author of “Joyce e Rabelais: Três leituras menipéias”, “El Universo y O Sertão”, “Campo Ceifado Agora”, “Variacões sob a mesma luz.Machado de Assis repensado”. Her commented and annotated edition of the “Third Book” by François Rabelais won the Jabuti Prize in Brazil.
