Prof. Carlos Morton has Received an Award!


Congratulations to Professor Carlos Morton (Theater and Dance) who was honored with Texas State’s Black and Latino Playwrights Celebration Distinguished Achievement Award of 2023 for his dedication to and sustained excellence and contributions to the development of American theater. In 2023 he had six productions of plays, “Silvery Night,” Frida Kahlo Theater, Los Angeles, “El Jardin,” Texas A & M University, College Station, TX, “Caravana,” El Barrio Productions, New York City, “Miser of Mexico,” Southwestern College, San Diego, “La Malinche,” North High School, Denver, CO., and “Las Muchas Muertes de Danny Rosales,” U. de Sonora, Hermosillo, MX.
